Constructed with a robust bolted bonnet, pressure seal bonnet or welded bonnet design, the ANSI gate valve features an Outside Screw and Yoke (OS&Y) rising stem that provides immediate visual position indication—critical for safety compliance in hazardous services. The flexible wedge or solid wedge disc is precision-machined from forged steel with optional Stellite hardfacing, ensuring metal-to-metal sealing integrity at temperatures ranging from -196°C cryogenic service to +538°C superheated steam applications.

Unlike general-purpose gate valves, the American Standard gate valve is subjected to comprehensive hydrostatic shell testing, seat leakage testing and fugitive emission testing per API 598 and ISO 5208. Full material traceability to ASTM A216 WCB, A217 WC6/WC9, A351 CF8/CF8M and other alloy specifications ensures compliance with NACE MR0175/ISO 15156 for sour gas service and API 934 for high-temperature hydrogen attack resistance. Whether installed in offshore platform manifolds, refinery catalytic cracking units or cross-country crude oil pipelines, this valve represents the global benchmark for reliable, code-compliant flow isolation.

Every ANSI standard gate valve is manufactured under the API Q1 quality management system and accompanied by EN 10204 3.1/3.2 mill test certificates. For oilfield and refinery projects, this traceability is non-negotiable—ensuring compliance with NACE MR0175 for H₂S-containing sour service and API 934-A for high-pressure high-temperature (HPHT) hydrogen applications.
