The valve wedge is fully encapsulated with high-grade EPDM, NBR or PTFE soft sealing material, achieving bidirectional zero leakage performance that exceeds API 598 and ISO 5208 Rate A test requirements. The resilient seat design allows automatic compensation for seat wear and thermal expansion, significantly extending service life and reducing maintenance frequency in water treatment and chemical processing plants.
Manufactured from QT450-10 ductile iron or WCB cast steel with both internal and external fusion-bonded epoxy powder coating (250μm thickness), the valve body demonstrates excellent resistance to corrosion, acid, alkali and electrochemical erosion. This advanced surface treatment ensures reliable operation for over 30 years in underground pipeline networks, sewage systems and marine environments.
Equipped with high-strength brass or stainless steel stem featuring rolled threads and double O-ring seals, the valve achieves 30% lower operating torque compared to conventional metal seated gate valves. The non-rising stem design saves installation space while the rising stem variant provides clear visual position indication, meeting diverse installation requirements in confined pump stations and valve chambers.
The full bore flow passage design ensures the valve offers negligible flow resistance when fully open, with Kv values matching straight pipe sections. This energy-saving characteristic reduces pumping costs in large-diameter water distribution networks while preventing debris accumulation and sediment blockage common in reduced-port valves.
Available in PN10/PN16/PN25 pressure ratings with flange ends conforming to EN 1092-2, ANSI B16.1 or AS 2129 standards. Optional accessories include bypass devices, position indicators, extension spindles for buried service, electric actuator mounting pads and locking devices, providing comprehensive solutions for municipal engineering contractors and industrial EPC projects.
